καιρός - Kairos

Updated: Oct 31

May Kairos be with Us

At the turning points

(there are always many)

In Our Messed up Lives

And may We be ready to

Seize the Flying Moment

In the Right Place at the Right Time

And to avoid the Volatile One

In order to live as We intend

And We have always deserved.

So, amongst the Chaos,

Let's catch the Kairos!

To Us

P. S. Viva Uncle!

P. P. S. YOU know WHO I mean...

(C) Vera da Pozzo, Paris, 26th October 2024

Below, the artwork (in detail and in its whole) I have just finished: I have drawn it between the 30th and the 31st of October. This is my own, very personal version of Kairos, associated with Chaos and Crisis.

"Good times for a Change"

Is a quote from the Smiths' song Please, please, please, let Me get What I want, written by Morrissey (music by Johnny Marr) and first released on 20th August 1984 as the B-side of the single William, It was really Nothing, then in the compilation album Hatful of Hollow, released on 12th November 1984, exactly twenty-five years before the very first Morrissey's concert I finally had the chance and the joy to attend.

Fifteen years later, in 2023, I had the pleasure to hear him singing this song live at both Paris gigs (Salle Pleyel 1st gig and Salle Pleyel 2nd gig) and at the second concert in Dublin (Vicar Street's 2nd gig) after having listened for many years to the album version, firstly on a very poor, but so valuable to me, cassette that my (much) older sister recorded from the radio when I was a child, and then on the official CD version when I was twenty-two.

Below, an ancient representation of Kairos on a relief held by the Museo di Antichità, Torino (Turin, Italy), a city I love: I hope to see it again and to visit this museum.
